What happends when you don't listen to your customers

Only six games into the season, the Syracuse Raging Bullz (formerly known as the Syracuse Bullies) have folded. Some of the interesting comments posted in the Post Standard website mention the complete lack of advertising. I have to say I agree completely. That, and the original controversy about the name probably lead to the untimely demise.

Perhaps a name that was relevant to Syracuse? A logo that was not hideous? Maybe a TV spot or an ad in the Post Standard? I suspect there was a serious lack of vision and budget.

At least we have SU Basketball to keep the winter interesting.

Here is the account from the Post Standard.

Syracuse Bullz call it quits

The Syracuse Bullz basketball team's run in Syracuse lasted six games.

That's how many contests the American Basketball Association franchise played before the league confirmed it was suspending operations on Wednesday.

ABA chairman Joe Newman said he would have an official announcement Thursday, along with information about a local ownership group that's interested in putting another ABA team here.

Newman blamed the failure of the franchise on the inability of owner Nicholas Fitts, who is from Rochester, to gauge the Syracuse market.ΒΆ

"They are basically discouraged about the support they have there," Newman said of the Bullz. "He (Fitts) just felt it did not have any traction to be in Syracuse. Syracuse is a great basketball city and deserves a team. He was just not able to get it done there."

The Bullz last took the court on court Friday at the First State Fusion in Delaware. Syracuse had postponed its last three home games because of poor ticket sales.

first off; nick really need to start out by listening to the family court judge and pay his childsupport.. i'm sick of seeing him on the news and at press confrences as if he's doing it for the kids and the fans when in actuallity he don't believe in taking care of his responsibilites when it comes to his children. He's the worst deadbeat dad i've ever seen.. He refuses to pay his child support and yet in all continues to be all uo in the media as if he doesn't have a care in the world..
